Date: Friday, March 15, 2013
Time: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Teacher: Michael Horowitz
Type: Drawing Class

Artist Michael Horowitz focuses on how to draw the figure in a series of Friday night classes (3/1, 3/15, 3/22 & 3/29). Using the Museum’s collections as inspiration, participants explore the figure through gesture, basic construction, basic anatomy and self-expression by using a variety of styles to draw a live, clothed, figure model.

Degas: Sculptural Etudes
Spend the evening drawing a live model in poses captured in the paintings and sculpture of Edgar Degas and his contemporaries. The class emphasizes strong gestural poses, compositional cropping and color application.
