In response to the tumultuous social issues of the early 1960s, Connor Everts created a lithographic suite that reflected his turmoil over the Vietnam war, the civil rights movement and the assassination of John F. Kennedy. In addition to considering Connor Everts, discuss works by such artists as Édouard Manet, Paul Gauguin and Alberto Giacometti, who also used art as a platform to question the status quo.
