Children and Families

The Museum offers a variety of programs for children and families to enjoy. Visit on the third Saturday of the month at 1:00 p.m. for Saturday Family Days, where kids can learn fascinating facts about the Museum's artworks and then complete a hands-on project. On the first Wednesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. and the last Sunday at 2:00 p.m., join us for Stories in the Afternoon, an interactive story hour held in the galleries. In the summer months, the Museum offers a popular art-making series on Thursday titled Summer Fun Days. Visit our events calendar to learn more.

During your visit to the Museum, pick up a free Family Guide at our Information Desk. These fun brochures include questions and activities just for children. Also at the Information Desk is our Children's Audio Tour, which provides an informative yet fun way to become acquainted with the Museum’s collections.  More than 35 artworks are featured with lively commentary, engaging questions and even the occasional joke. The tour spans both the European and Asian collections and is available in English and Spanish for $3.
