School Tours
The Museum encourages school and youth groups to visit the Museum. To prepare your students for a visit to the Norton Simon Museum, explore our Study Guides. School and Youth groups must be accompanied by the proper number of adult chaperones. For details, please review the appropriate online tour packet below.
Museum Staff Conducted Tours: Teachers can book free tours conducted by Museum Educators for grades 5 through 12. These 75-minute tours start at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:00 a.m. every weekday except for Tuesday. Due to high demand, a maximum of 75 students is allowed per tour. Reservations are required, please book your tour at least two weeks in advance. For additional details, please review the School Tour Packet or call (626) 844-6980. Preparatory materials are sent to teachers who schedule a school tour.
Self Conducted Tours: Teachers and chaperones may bring school groups to the Museum during public hours beginning at 12:30 p.m. Reservations are required and must be made at least two weeks in advance. There is no fee for students, teachers, or adult chaperones. There are student/teacher ratio requirements. For additional details please review the Self-Conducted Tour Packet or call (626) 844-6980.
