Schools & Teachers

The Norton Simon Museum welcomes teachers and their students to engage with its magnificent art collection. For the 2023–2024 school year, we are pleased to offer limited Museum Educator-led in-person school tours for up to 60 students on Monday, Thursday and Friday mornings. For schools unable to visit in person, we offer Museum Educator-led virtual school tours for up to 30 students on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Details and registration information can be found below.

We also encourage teachers to utilize our online resources designed to support engagement with art. Explore the Norton Simon collections with your students through curriculum packets investigating a wide range of artworks. Watch our Spotlight on Art series of short videos designed for teachers and students. Read tips for looking at art that provide multiple entry points for students to make connections and find personal meaning. And experiment with materials and processes through hands-on art-making activities inspired by objects in the collection.
