Explore and compare idealized female forms in this two-part course centered on Greco-Roman and Indian and Southeast Asian art. At the Getty Villa, discover the perfected beauty and behavior reflected in the images of Greco-Roman goddesses and women with Educator Shelby Brown. Then, at the Norton Simon Museum, explore with Assistant Curator Melody Rod-ari the feminine qualities of Hindu and Buddhist divinities described in texts and visualized in art.
