Hector the Collector
Hector the Collector by Emily Beeny
- 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Hector the dog loves to collect acorns of all shapes and sizes, but when the teacher finds Hector’s desk filled with acorns, his classmates make fun of him. Eventually, his classmates learn that all collections are special; some are even meant for sharing, like the collections in an art museum. What do you like to collect? Make a drawing in response to the story in front of a very different kind of collector.
Join us on Sunday, February 4 for a very special reading by Emily Beeny, author of Hector the Collector and former curator at the Norton Simon Museum.
- Free with admission. This activity is designed for families with children ages 4–8.
- Meets in Entrance Gallery
