DATE:
TIME:
6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
SPEAKER:
Melissa Manfull

Examine composition and perspective in works from the Renaissance to the modern era, and explore how artists create the illusion of space in their work with artist Melissa Manfull. Consider how space is reinterpreted to create dramatic narratives and moody environments and discover how the viewer’s proximity to an artwork changes their perception of space within a piece.

Learn how to use frames to contain and expand a static image. Then create drawings using a variety of unusual framing techniques and explore how value changes the perspective in an image
