Come Sail Away
Thursday, June 29, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Magnificent boats, big and small, are illustrated in paintings by 18th- to 20th-century artists such as Claude-Joseph Vernet, Claude Monet and Lyonel Feininger. Design a sponge boat with paper sails, and watch it float in the bathtub, the pool or even the sea.

Kings and Queens
Thursday, July 6, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Dipankara Buddha wears a beautiful jeweled crown and serves as an icon of charity. In Coronation of the Virgin by David, Mary is depicted as Queen of Heaven, with her crown representing 12 stars. Embellish your own crowns with color, gems and confetti to wear throughout the summer.

 Vuillard FirstFruits 600x400       Watercolor Panorama
Thursday, July 13, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
Imagine you could step inside a rural scene by Vuillard or an exotic landscape by Rousseau. What would you see all around you? Make a panoramic drawing using watercolor pencils. Then, using a waterbrush, see the colors of the place blend and swirl to become your own.
