This short documentary explores the life and legacy of Edith Heath, the groundbreaking ceramicist who designed the Museum’s iconic building tiles in the late 1960s, a project that won her the highly prestigious Industrial Arts Medal from the American Institute of Architects. Through rare archival photos and footage of Heath’s many projects, including the Norton Simon Museum, the documentary explores the history of Heath Ceramics, from its inception in the late 1940s through to the early 21st century, and traces the evolution of Edith Heath’s philosophy and creative practice.
