Virtual Tour: Modernism in Miniature

Frances Lazare, the Museum’s graduate intern for 2021–22, leads a tour of her exhibition, Modernism in Miniature. Lazare explores how 20th-century artists Lyonel Feininger, Marcel Duchamp and John Chamberlain employed the miniature in their practice, using reduction of scale and emphasis on detail as a witting challenge to ambition and immensity in modern art.

Modernism in Miniature is on view August 12, 2022–January 9, 2023.
