Artist and educator May Jong conducts a six-session course focusing on ways of seeing and drawing a variety of artworks in the Museum’s collections. Students learn various drawing techniques by studying storytelling, the human figure and landscapes.

Studying line, pattern and color in a series of paintings depicting the ancient Ramayana epic, students create graphite and color pencil drawings illustrating a poem or story. Please bring a poem or story to class. Resources will also be available for students.

Fee:
All levels of experience are welcome. Each class is $25 ($20 for members), and space is limited to 20 participants. All materials and admission to the galleries on the day of class are included.
