Join artist and author Richard E. Scott in exploring the Museum’s collections in this six-part drawing series. Working in pencil, students learn how to enhance their enjoyment of the visual arts, improve confidence in various drawing techniques and enrich their museum-going experience.
In the third session, students learn how to draw convincing three-dimensional forms on a two-dimensional drawing surface through the use of tonal values, adding a sculptural dimension to their drawings. Students apply the lesson to draw works in the Southeast Asian collection.
