PLEASE NOTE:
The Museum is currently closed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but we are working hard behind the scenes on exhibitions and programs that will be offered when we reopen.

We are currently able to process new, renewal and gift memberships orders online only; membership cards will be mailed out as soon as the offices reopen, and all payments sent in by mail will be processed then as well. Thank you again for your support of the Norton Simon Museum.

The Norton Simon Museum recognizes that teachers are vital partners in introducing generations of students to the Museum’s collections.

We are pleased to offer a special membership level for active K – 12 teachers and teachers at accredited undergraduate and graduate level schools. See below for additional information.

Teacher Level Members enjoy:

  • Free, unlimited admission for one adult
  • Free audio tour rental for one
  • Invitations to exhibition previews
  • Early seating at special events
  • 20% discount in the Museum Store
  • 20% discount on class registration
  • 10% discount in the Garden Café
  • Subscription to the quarterly Member Newsletter

Please note we do not currently offer gift memberships at the Teacher Level. Read on for information about eligibility requirements and how to apply.

Q: Who is eligible for the Teacher Level membership?

A: K – 12 teachers and teachers at accredited undergraduate and graduate level schools are eligible.


Q: What proof do I need to show?

A: One of the following forms of proof is required:

  • State issued educators license
  • Pay stub
  • Teacher identification badge

Proof of eligibility is required every year if you would like to renew your Teacher Level membership. Failure to provide proof will delay the processing of the membership.

Q: How do I apply?

A: At the Museum: Bring in your proof of eligibility and purchase in person. Please verify your application has been completed correctly before the payment is processed.

Online: Download the Teacher level membership application here. Complete the application, including payment information, attach a scanned copy of your proof of eligibility, and send to membership@nortonsimon.org.
