The central figure of this book cover is Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of compassion and the patron deity of Tibet. He is seated in meditation and holds a rosary and a flower. The figure to his right is Manjusri, wielding a sword, while to his left is an angry form of Vajrapani, who stands militantly, brandishing a thunderbolt.
