Richard Houston

Gesture is a term freely used in any studio art class, and yet few can succinctly define what gesture is and how it might be used by an artist. In this session, participants will discuss how artists think about gesture in the creation of their artworks, and then make their own gestural drawings, while examining the Museum’s Degas sculptures.
