Join artist and author Richard E. Scott in exploring line, form, perspective and movement in the Norton Simon’s collections. Working in pencil, students will learn how to see with the eyes of an artist, improve their confidence with various techniques and enrich their museum-going experience.

By studying artworks by Renaissance masters like Francesco Bissolo, students will observe how artists achieve the illusion of depth in their paintings. Students will explore drawing using perspective and conveying depth.

All levels of experience are welcome. Each class is $25 ($20 for members), and space is limited to 15 participants. All materials and admission to the galleries on the day of class are included.
