Travel to extraordinary places while viewing paintings of the sea by artists such as Venetian veduta (view) painter Francesco Guardi, French painters Louis-Eugène Boudin and Gustave Courbet and German painter Emil Nolde. Learn why these painters chose particular places to depict and how they learned to sketch or paint the seascape.
