Karl S. Benjamin

Karl S. Benjamin (1925–2012) had been painting for only four years when the Pasadena Art Institute presented his work in 1954. Benjamin became interested in pursuing art as a full-time profession after teaching art and painting in public elementary schools for nearly six years. By the time of the Pasadena show, which included 29 paintings, the artist had already been featured in several solo and group exhibitions.
