Chinese Art from the Permanent Collection

Showcasing some of the exquisite works found in the Norton Simon Museum’s Asian art collections, Chinese Art from the Permanent Collection presents approximately 15 secular and religious works of art from the 5th to the 19th century—the majority of which are on view for the first time. Buddhist sculptures in limestone, marble, wood and metal are exhibited alongside watercolor paintings, a painted handscroll and a silk tapestry.
