In Love Is written by Diane Adams and illustrated by Claire Keane, a little girl and her duckling grow to learn all the many ways of caring, and how love can be just as much about giving as it is receiving.

Ruth Asawa (American, 1926–2013) worked as an artist while raising six children. She made art everyday, and often with her children by her side. In Henry and Adam, she lovingly illustrates an intimate moment of her son sound asleep with his puppy.

Inspired by Love Is and Henry and Adam, create a Valentine’s card for a friend or loved one letting them know all the many ways that you care for them.
