Monumental

In this video podcast, Assistant Curator Melody Rod-ari discusses the history and production of the Norton Simon Museum’s rare, monumental thangka, Future Buddha Maitreya Flanked by the Eighth Dalai Lama and His Tutor. Assistant to the Director of Operations David Johnson then explains the efforts to install this extremely large, flat field painting in our galleries.
